Well, I guess now is as good a time as any to start one of these.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs. Is this the start of the NFL's next great dynasty? Only time will tell.

We already have things to talk about:

There is uncertainty surrounding the futures of a number of big-name quarterbacks - Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Cam Newton. Some or all of them may be in different uniforms next season.

The NFLPA is set to vote on a proposed CBA which would expand the regular season to 17 games but also contains a number of concessions of which the players are reportedly very much in favor. Could labor unrest be averted before it even begins?

Will Dak Prescott be the second Cowboys star in as many seasons to hold out of training camp in the hopes of a long-term contract?

Will running backs Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook or Alvin Kamara become the latest at that position to hold out and miss time in training camp and / or preseason thus plunging countless fantasy drafts into chaos?

Is this the year that Commissioner Roger Goodell is not booed at the Draft? Seems unlikely.

Free agency starts next month. The Draft is after that. Before you know it training camps will start and NFL football will be back. NFL '20 Season Thread starts now.

Greg Olsen has signed a one-year deal with Seattle.

The players are voting on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement which will, if passed, expand the playoffs for the upcoming season to seven teams from each conference, open the possibility of a 17-game season starting, at the earliest, in 2021, overhaul drug testing, and expand roster sizes. A simple majority of players is needed to pass the new CBA. Players have until 11:59 PM EST Thursday March 12th to cast their ballot.

The new CBA: also - 1) it will significantly increase minimum salaries for the low-end players, and 2) it will cap pay for the 17th game at $250K. Players CAN negotiate with their teams on an individual basis, to be compensated above the $250K.

Is this the year that Commissioner Roger Goodell is not booed at the Draft? Seems unlikely.

There is talk that the NFL will be holding the draft without fans being in attendance this year due to concerns over the Coronavirus. Should such a thing come to pass, this may turn out to be the year that Commissioner Goodell is not booed at the Draft. Funny how life works.

The Panthers have released Cam Newton. End of an era. Sorry it had to end like this. Hope he is successful wherever he ends up.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions breathe a sigh of relief after hearing that this season will likely be cancelled. Owner Martha Ford announced she is instituting a "no utility shut-off" policy during the current crisis, afterwards was heard a collective sigh of relief from coach Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn.

The owners have officially approved an expanded playoffs for the upcoming season with an additional team from each conference earning a spot and only the #1 seed having a first-round bye. If this had been in place last year, the Steelers and Rams would have made the postseason.

The first round of the 2020 NFL Draft is complete. The Bengals selected LSU QB Joe Burrow as expected. There were three quarterbacks taken in the first six selections. Carolina drafted Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown. Green Bay traded up to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love as heir apparent to Aaron Rogers.

Hall-of-Fame coach Don Shula has died. He was 90 years. Shula is the all-time leader in wins for a head coach with 347 victories including playoffs.

99 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Aaron Donald, defensive tackle with the Los Angeles Rams. Aaron Donald made a near immediate impact upon entering the NFL and was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in his inaugural campaign (2014). He has been a First-team All-Pro in each year since (2015-2019) and was twice named NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2017, 2018). He was named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and his lead-leading 20.5 sacks in 2018 made him only the eleventh player to have recorded at least twenty sacks in a season since the stat began being tracked in 1982.
